Description:
Biosimilar Medications are already integrated into our healthcare system in the United States.  Within the next few years, we are expected to see 13 biosimilars for adalimumab approved and several others have already been approved for infliximab.  If you’re practicing in Dermatology, you may have wondered, “What do I need to know about Biosimilars?”  Well, this virtual presentation is for you!  Arm yourself with basics about what we’ve learned and where we’re headed in the Dermatology setting when it comes to biologic biosimilars.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review what qualifies a medication as a biosimilar.
  • Explain the nomenclature of biosimilar medications and why they are being integrated into our health system.
  • Discuss key lessons learned from currently-approved biosimilar medications in the US and EAU.
  • Identify what is next for biosimilar medications within the US.
