In 2025, a resurgence of measles in the U.S. has brought renewed attention to the importance of early recognition and differentiation of pediatric viral exanthems. This presentation will provide dermatology nurse practitioners with an updated clinical and epidemiologic overview of measles, framed within the broader context of common pediatric infectious rashes. We will discuss the hallmarks of viral exanthems- including measles, rubella, roseola, and hand foot and mouth, with a focus on distinguishing features, complications, and management strategies relevant to dermatology practice. Attendees will be eligible to receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit for attending the session. This educational activity is also approved for 1 contact hour for nurses. All other healthcare professionals will receive a Certificate of Participation to provide to their licensing board as applicable.
