Diane Hanna, DNP, DCNP, FAANP

Dr. Diane Hanna, DNP, FNP-c, FAANP, FSDNP, is the immediate Past President after completing a two-year term during the organization’s formative years. Dr. Hanna’s diverse background spans over 25 years and includes an educational and research focus on atopic dermatitis, research, and clinical development experience that spans topical, biologic, and small molecules. Dr. Hanna has been a trailblazer for dermatology nurse practitioners and is one of a handful of Fellows of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Hanna utilized her background and tenure as President to focus on building the foundation for long term success by advancing the core position that all dermatology nurse practitioners should have specialty certification and advancing the opportunities for dermatology nurse practitioner-lead research and publications so that dermatology nurse practitioners contribute to the dermatology scientific body of knowledge.

SDNP thanks Dr. Hanna for her leadership and unparalleled vision, which led to significant growth of the Society. Melodie Young, MSN, A/GNP-c, FSDNP, the current President of SDNP, states that “Diane's transformative leadership set the stage for success for our organization and I am grateful for her sacrificial contributions as a volunteer servant leader of SDNP.”
